Nope, the CDC used DCTL (Direct Coupled Transistor Logic) and asked 
Fairchild
to make a specific transistor, still sold today : the gold-doped 2N2369

ECL was used later for the Cray-1, made of "many" dual (N)OR3 gates
(and also "many" 1Kb ECL SRAM chips for the -S model)
