okaay, great.

something for later.

what i may do is write an alternative mouse-control.  there's a way
that's done which is "intuitive" - the cursor jumps to screen-centre
the moment you start to zoom, and that feels really natural because
where you move the mouse, "obviously" that's where you want to start
zooming.
