two things:
* rfid doesn't write all MSR bits
* function default arguments generally should not be mutable values, since if
it's modified in the function, that modified value is used as the new default
for all function calls

def run_tst_program(self, prog,
             initial_regs=[0] * 32):

idk if this will fix your bug, but it might help...
