Replacing:
rewrite ^/rest/(.*)$ /rest.cgi/$1 last;
by:
rewrite ^/rest/(.*)$ /rest.cgi?$1 last;

is an improvement ... but not the fix.

Going to https://bugs.libre-soc.org/rest/version I now get
