the message below says they're not missing, there are conflicts.

if you've followed the trick of setting up testing as well, you can
try "apt-get -t testing libmotif-dev"

however to track it down you may need to try "apt-get install libxft-dev"
and if that doesn't work keep tracking down, tracking down, until you
get to one that gives a different message.
