The python script now runs but yosys still complains
ERROR: No such command: set (type 'help' for a command overview

and if I don't use the set command, I get the following error

yosys> read_ilang part_sig_add.il
1. Executing ILANG frontend.
Input filename: part_sig_add.il

yosys> hierarchy -check -top top

2. Executing HIERARCHY pass (managing design hierarchy).
ERROR: Module `top' not found!

Which version of yosys did you use, luke.
