turns out it was pneumonia. BUPA doctor at Spire Southampton
said i absolutely did the right thing going in to A&E. my
airway got constricted around 9:30pm, extreme difficulty
breathing, was just able to hold it together on the ebike long
enough. front desk were fantastic, no messing about no
waiting got me straight in to the observation area in under
40 seconds.

the trigger was likely extreme distress from an earlier report
i had to make, where i was shaking pretty much the entire phone
call. one catatonic incident in a supermarket afterwards, and
about a dozen such incidents and full body seizures the entire
night, plus a second choking incident around 5am, fortunately
under the watchful eye of A&E nurses rather than being on a
remote campsite on my own.

there is (has been) some confusion over the seeming "panic
attacks" - the choking from such is near-identical to that of
pneumonia and the abuse i've been subjected to has made it
difficult to spot (or even consider looking for) a virus.
however as there have been quite a lot of pneumonia/flu
incidents in southampton i think they took the X-Ray as a
precaution, and a good job they did.

i've a followup referral now requested with an Eye-Ear-Throat
BUPA specialist as these incidents correlate fairly closely
with large barometric pressure changes (enough to cause ear
significant popping) *as well* as severe distress.
