so, lauri: i need to be direct and frank about this, don't take it
personally: it's just a reflection.

whilst i appreciate that you're looking to highlight perceived weaknesses
to ensure that they're taken care of, what you wrote - twice - contained
words which focussed on failure.  on "can't... because".

there was no mention of "this is a perceived problem, i propose the
following solution" or "this is a perceived problem, does anyone have a
solution?"

the partners that i have been speaking with, when it comes to signing, may
very well choose not to.  if that happens, should we give up because of
that? of course not, because "working towards failure" is not the goal, is
it? the goal is, "working towards success".

what i'd like to see as part of this conversation is highlighting of issues
followed by proposals of solutions that mitigate them.  the caveat being
that an understanding of the landscape - timescales, working knowledge
"lag" and costs - is essential and needs to be understood, appreciated and
accepted.
