well, the answer to that should be clear from reading the bug
comments.  what you wrote... isn't... there... therefore as far as the
bugreport is concerned, it is as if you never wrote it.

lesson: mailing lists are for one-off communication (fire-and-forget).
they are *not* "informational resources", and they are not
task-orientated management systems.  *wikis* are informational
