no problem.  with gmail, a good "trick" is to make sure that "plain
text mode" is always enabled, when replying.  you do however now have
to switch that on *before* hitting reply.  so that means "reply", then
"change mode to plain text" (the 3 dots next to the trash can in the
bottom right), then "cancel", then "reply" again.

i tend to just leave "plain text mode" switched on near-permanently.

basically i'm not ruling it out (not going to close the bugreport) -
if the right people come along with the right skills and the right
attitude - and there are enough of them - we'll revisit it.
